Shri Pradip Kumar Banik
The Govt. of India, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Fertilizers vide Order dated 2nd February,2024, entrusted additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director, BVFCL, to Shri Pradip Kumar Banik, Director (Production), BVFCL, in additional to his own duties. Subsequently, Shri Pradip Kumar Banik has assumed the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director of BVFCL w.e.f 03.02.2024. He is Director (Production), BVFCL w.e.f. 22nd March, 2023.
Prior to his present assignment as Director (Production), BVFCL, Shri Pradip Kumar Banik was working as DGM (Mechanical), BVFCL.
Director Finance,
Shri Subash Chandra Das
Shri Subash Chandra Das has assumed charge of Director (Finance), BVFCL w.e.f. 18th December 2020. He has a rich industry experience of more than 27 years in Mining, Metal and Fertilizer Industry having working experience in premier CPSEs like SAIL & NALCO and presently in BVFCL.
Prior to his present assignment as Director (Finance), BVFCL, Shri Das was working as DGM (Finance), NALCO w.e.f. 22.12.2017. He was Finance in-charge of green energy projects, Business Development and R&D division of NALCO and also supervising affairs of CSR Trust and superannuation funds of NALCO. Prior to joining NALCO, he worked in various capacities in Steel Authority of India Limited & was posted at Rourkela Steel Plant of SAIL. During a career span of more than 27 years, he garnered experience in the field of Financial Planning and Control, Financial Reporting,Audit & Internal Control, Corporate Governance & Compliances, Budgeting & Cost Management, Treasury & Superannuation fund management, Commercial and Tax matters etc.
Born on 05.07.1971, Shri Das is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) and also an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi from where he completed Executive PG Diploma in Management.
Apart from excelling in professional responsibilities, he has been equally active in social activities and community development.
In the past Shri Subash Chandra Das has been also entrusted with the additional responsibility of Director(Production) of BVFCL. Presently he is also heading the functions of HR & Admin department & Marketing division of BVFCL.
Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri Prabhas Kumar
PRABHAS KUMAR (1988 IDSE) has been deputed as Director in the Department of Fertilizers in Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Government of India. He is presently holding the additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer of BVFCL.
Director (P&K), DoF Shri Vinay Kumar Pandey
Shri Vinay Kumar Pandey (ISS, 2004 Batch), working as Director in the Department of Fertilizers, is the Govt. Nominee Director on the BVFCL Board . He did his M.Sc in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 1999 and qualied CSIR (NET) also for Lecturership. He was in Government service from December , 1999 as Investigator in National Sample Survey Organisation and served at Khandwa, M.P. and Allahabad, U.P.. He got selected for Indian Statistical Service (ISS) in 2004. He has served in the field offices (Gwalior, M.P. & Raipur, Chhattisgarh) of Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation. He is posted in Delhi since September, 2010 and has served in Department of Expenditure, M/o Finance, Ministry of Labour & Employment and Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation before joining as Director in the Department of Fertilizers in December, 2018.
Director(Govt. Nominee Director) Dr Ashwani Kumar
Dr. Ashwani Kumar is an officer of Indian Economics Service (IES), 2012 batch. His educational qualification is Ph.D (Economics). He has served in different Ministries of Government of India i.e. MSME, Niti Aayog, Information & Broadcasting as Addl. Economics Adviser.
He is presently working as Joint Director (IC) in the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. He is now appointed as Government Nominee Director on the Board of M/s. Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) w.e.f. 28.10.2024.
Shri Surendra Thakur, Government Nominee Director
Shri Surendra Thakur is an officer of the Central Secretariat Services. His educational qualifications are M.Sc. (Physics) and PG Diploma in Disaster Preparedness & Rehabilitation. He has served in different Ministries of Government of India i.e. Ministry of Communications (Department of Posts, Department of Telecommunications, BSNL Corporate Office & TRAI-on deputation), Ministry of Culture (as AO in National Museum on deputation) and Ministry of Home Affairs (including deputation in NIDM as Joint Director).
He is presently working as Deputy Secretary (Estt, Gen Admn., IT & Cash) in the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. He is now appointed as Government Nominee Director on the Board of M/s. Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) w.e.f. 24.12.2024.
