Namrup, August 29, 2026: In a significant stride towards more efficient plant operations, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) has implemented an innovative arrangement for additional Liquid CO₂ supply through cryogenic tankers in UREA Manufacturing process. The initiative was inaugurated today at BVFCL.

The innovative arrangement will unlock the productive potential of surplus ammonia by supplementing the CO₂ generated in the Ammonia-III plant, enabling its continued conversion into urea whenever in-house CO₂ availability is insufficient.

With improvement schemes in the Urea-III plant scheduled for implementation shortly, enhanced plant efficiency is expected to further strengthen ammonia utilisation, urea production and overall productivity.
