The Right to Information Act, 2005 provide the right to every citizen to secure access to information under the control of public authority, in consistence with the public interest, in order to promote openness, transparency and accountability in administration and in relation to matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

In terms of provisions of Section 5 & 6 of The Right to Information Act 2005, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), Namrup, P.O.: Parbatpur-786623, Dist. Further, in accordance with the provisions of Section 19 of the said Act, any person who does not receive a decision within the time specified in the Act from the Public Information Officer / Alternate Public Information Officer of BVFCL or is / are aggrieved by a decision of the Chief Public Information Officer/ Alternate Public Information Officer of BVFCL may within 30 days from the expiry of such period or from the receipt of such a decision prefer an appeal to the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) Namrup, P.O.: Parbatpur-786623, Dist. Dibrugarh (Assam).

BVFCL has defined powers for company official at different level. The duties are as assigned from time to time. The employees mainly work for the operations and maintenance of Plants

Each Department of the Company, while discharging its function, is guided by Departmental Manuals, which are periodically reviewed and updated. In addition to that the employees are regulated by the Standing Orders for workmen and Conduct, discipline and Appeal Rules for the Officers of the Company.

PROCEDURE FOR MAKING APPLICATION:1. WHO CAN SEEK INFORMATION

Any citizen of India who desires to obtain any information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 may make a request, preferably in the Application Format, in writing or through electronic means, to the Information Officer of the Company.2. APPLICATION FEE The application for obtaining information must be accompanied by the following prescribed application fee in favour of “BRAHMAPUTRA VALLEY FERTILIZER CORPORATION LIMITED, PAYABLE AT NAMRUP, where the application has been submitted. If cash is paid, a copy of the receipt is to be enclosed. At present the application fee, which is subject to change from time to time, is as under:Application Fee : Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only)Mode of payment: By cash – to be deposited in cash section of the company between 9.00 am to 1.00 pm & 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm or by DD/ Banker’s cheques payable at Namrup or payable on SBI, Namrup.The Cash Section is situated at :Cash Section Administrative Building Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Ltd. APPEAL
